From D-2 to D-4
Currently, I have a D-2 visa since I'm studying a Master's degree; however, I'd like to study Korean for 6 months. Is it advisable to downgrade my visa (to D4) and then switch to D10 (seeking job)?

I recommend completing your D2 program first before switching to a D4 visa..! Having a Korean degree makes it much easier and in some cases essential to obtain a work visa such as the E7. Therefore,

The D2 visa is valid for degree programs and the D4 is for language courses. Once you complete your Master’s, you can switch to a D4 if you take a Korean class.
