Job Description
The Climate Project Korea Office (The Climate Reality Project) is a non-profit international environmental organization founded by former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize winner Al Gore. We raise awareness of the severity of the global environmental crisis caused by industrialization, foster a sense of community cooperation by facing the reality of the global climate emergency, and raise awareness around the world so that they can take immediate action to address climate disasters. The Climate Reality Project Korea Office is recruiting interns for the second half of 2025 to lead actions for sustainable global change and a better future. We welcome the participation of many Koreans, international students, and young people with a passion for climate change. THE POWER OF YOUTH: TAKING ACTION FOR LASTING CHANGE AND A BETTER FUTURE Internship Program The goal of the internship program is to provide diverse individuals with valuable, high-quality hands-on experience, providing them with a foundation for practical experience and careers in the climate change or environmental movement field. Schedules are negotiable for successful applicants, and unpaid internships are available. Interns can work a minimum of 10 hours per week and a maximum of 25 hours. All interns in the Korea office are assigned a mentor, who works closely with them to establish overall goals and plan their work. Team: International Program Organization & Communication Team Program: Non-paid internship at the Program Organization & Communication Team Main Responsibility: To assist and support the team manager's duties and responsibilities Reports To: Team Manager Preferred Start Date: During August or September of 2025 or possible to discuss the start schedule Intern Responsibilities and Roles: Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Preparing information materials for climate events, projects, and various programs hosted by the Korea office, recruiting applicants, planning event logistics, reviewing applicant applications, and following up. • Supporting social media promotion activities and Reality Hub management and operations. • Supporting local Climate Reality leaders and campus chapters. • Supporting the Our Climate Moment: Let's Get to Work and Climate Reality campaigns through Climate Reality chapters. • Assisting with developing climate campaign and citizen engagement strategies, including volunteer recruitment, collaboration and solidarity building activities, and social media promotion. • Assist with planning and production of online and offline content and campaigns • Research and update news related to the Climate Reality campaign • Assistant to the Korea Branch Manager and reporting • Ability to pursue other areas of interest and perform other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
Qualifications • Excellent writing and communication skills in Korean and English • Creative problem-solving skills and teamwork experience • Experience in volunteer training and volunteering in climate change and other fields • Experience in cross-cultural communication • (Optional) Experience with non-profit organizations and climate action campaigns
Preferred
Preferences - Opportunities to participate in key areas of the Climate Project Korea branch - Experience in climate/environmental education lectures, educational content planning, planning and executing events for organizations, groups, and schools, planning and hosting international events, online and offline promotional planning, social networking (SNS) content creation and promotion, and planning and hosting domestic and international campaigns. Preference given to those with prior experience.
