Job Description
LG Innotek is a company specializing in optical components and conducts various optics-related research. In particular, we focus our research on materials and components for lenses and actuators that constitute optical parts, and we are securing and leading various advanced technologies utilizing optical principles. - Development of Optical Materials/Devices * Development of optical components/materials/devices and plastic flow/deformation analysis technologies * Research on organic/inorganic composite materials (glass/polymer composites for camera lenses) * Glass particle sintering and injection molding, lens research - Development of Copackaged Optics * Major in Silicon Photonics / Integrated Photonics * Experience in Photonic IC design and simulation (experience using Lumerical, Comsol, Optocompiler, IPKISS, Virtuoso) * Experience in Optical Packaging / Photonic Assembly (photonic packaging including fiber coupling and active/passive alignment) * Laser/Light source design/fabrication skills (experience with DFB/EML, laser reliability, and thermal design) * Optical Testing / Reliability Evaluation (experience with BER, eye diagrams, and wafer-level photonic testing)
Qualifications
- Holders of a Master's degree or higher in optics, materials science, or polymer science - Those with research experience in diffraction or imaging optics - Majors in Fiber Optics, Optical Communication, or Modulated Signals - Majors in Laser Science (EML Laser, DFB Laser, etc.) - Majors in Photonic ICs - Majors in Electromagnetics-based Optical Design - Majors in Semiconductor Materials or Processes - Foreign nationals or foreign citizens currently enrolled in or holding a Bachelor's degree (3rd year or higher) or Master's/Doctoral degree at a domestic university (graduates and those expected to graduate in August 2026 are eligible to apply) - Holders of the Test of Korean Language Proficiency (TOPIK) Levels 4–6 ※ Valid for 2 years - Those who possess or are capable of acquiring a visa status for the internship (July–August 2026) (D-2, D-10, F-series visa, etc.) - Preference given to Government-sponsored Foreign Student Scholars (GKS) and those who have completed Level 5 of the Korean Inclusive Social Integration Program (KIIP) - Those with excellent language skills (Business Communication Proficiency Level) Preferred: English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Spanish, Polish, Indonesian, etc. ※ Due to the high volume of applications and inquiries on the deadline day, please complete your submission before the deadline if possible.
