DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Job Description

· Build and grow Instagram and YouTube video audiences as the primary growth engine, measured by audience growth and signup conversion · Produce high-quality short-form video (Reels, Shorts) that tease our journalism, podcast highlights, and field reporting, and convert viewers into trial signups · Grow the YouTube channel: clip and package podcast and interview content, write search-optimized titles and descriptions, design thumbnails that earn the click · Maintain LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, and Facebook/Threads with adapted content to a competent standard · Film on-site with journalists, independently conduct vox pop and field video from Seoul streets and events, and edit footage into publishable video · Cut and edit podcast clips for social, upload to YouTube and Instagram, create thumbnails, and support recording setup · Promote Seoul Circuit, Korea Business Forum, and Breakfast Briefings; produce post-event video and digital materials · Respond to social inbound, manage contractor deliverables, run paid campaigns when briefed · Draft and send press releases, maintain the Korean media contact list quarterly, and track audience/subscriber data via analytics platforms

Qualifications

· Demonstrable track record producing high-quality Reels and short-form video · Strong video editing skills · Literacy with basic AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Canva · Comfort filming and directing talent on-site · An instinct for what makes someone stop scrolling, tied to a conversion goal

Preferred

· Landing page design basics · Familiarity with Kit, Matomo, Cursor · Interest in or knowledge of North and South Korean affairs · Advanced AI tooling such as Cursor, Claude Cowork, Riverside, Iconik, Descript (Preferred attributes are not mandatory requirements but considered as preferences/references.)
