Job Description
· Own the event programme end-to-end — Seoul Circuit, Korea Business Forum, and NK Pro Breakfast Briefings — as a pipeline bringing new professionals to our products · Source, invite, and manage speakers end-to-end, including honorarium arrangements (sole owner of the Seoul Circuit and Korea Business Forum speaker process) · Generate at least four qualified new leads per KBF cycle and own outreach and ongoing communication · Identify and pursue attendees and partners worth bringing into our orbit · Maintain the Seoul Circuit attendee list across mail merge and Kit · Draft outbound LinkedIn messages, handle inbound LinkedIn and email inquiries, and re-engage lapsed attendees · Write event titles and descriptions, build event page copy, and work with developers to launch invite pages · Draft and send invite emails; run post-event follow-up and feed warm contacts into the sales conversation
Qualifications
· A track record building relationships and generating leads or partnerships, ideally in a professional, diplomatic, or business-events context · Comfort working a room and following up with senior people — diplomats, executives, academics — without supervision · Strong written outreach · Organised enough to run multiple events' speaker and attendee pipelines at once · Literacy with basic AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) and a research tool like Perplexity · Based in Seoul or able to be there reliably on event dates · Cover letter (150 words max): Tell us about one hard-to-reach person you got to say yes — a speaker, partner, or lead. Who were they, what was the obstacle, what did you do? Real specifics, not a polished story.
Preferred
· An existing network in Seoul's foreign/professional community · Advanced AI and software tooling such as n8n, Claude Cowork, Kit, mail merge, landing-page builders · Interest in Korean affairs or the peninsula-watching community (Preferred attributes are not mandatory requirements but considered as preferences/references.)
Etc
· Existing work authorization for the Republic of Korea is required (ROK working holiday visas may qualify) · Compensation: KRW 2–3.5M/month, depending on experience (based on an average of 2.5 days/week) · Flexi-time, averaging 2.5 days per week; event nights and mornings are fixed and require in-person attendance · In your CV: list events run, speakers landed, and leads generated — names and numbers, not responsibilities. · Location: 92 Saemunan-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Officia Building, Gwanghwamun) — Seoul-based or commutable · Apply to jobs@nknews.org https://www.nknews.org/opportunities/
