Job Description

- Structural design and analysis of submarine power cables and joints - Design of cable structural stability considering installation and usage environments, and prediction of behavior and lifespan under mechanical loads - Thermal, electromagnetic, and structural design and analysis of junction boxes - Design and execution of real-world simulation tests (thermal, electrical, and mechanical loads) - Utilization of commercial CAE and development of AI-based automation and prediction programs This is a recruitment-linked internship at the LS Cable & System Power Research Institute, where you will design and analyze the structures of submarine power cables and joints. You can apply your master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering.

Qualifications

- Education: Master's degree or higher | Major: Mechanical Engineering - Languages: Korean (TOPIK Level 3 or higher) / English (TOEIC 700 or higher, or TOEIC Speaking/OPIc IM2 or higher) - Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering - Required Skills: Structural design and CAE analysis based on mechanical engineering, or behavioral analysis of offshore structures based on shipbuilding/marine engineering / Execution of test evaluations (test concept planning, equipment design) and data analysis (sensors, DAQ, etc.) - A creative attitude open to communication and collaboration with personnel from diverse disciplines, and a positive attitude toward balancing field and laboratory work

Preferred

- Experience using Finite Element Analysis CAE (Ansys, Abaqus) and Marine Environment Analysis (OrcaFlex) - Proficiency in 3D CAD design and programming (Python, etc.)
