Job Description

- Design of polymer materials using AI (Experience with RDKit, DeepChem, etc. required) - Material design, prototype fabrication, and evaluation/analysis - Establishment of formulation databases and preprocessing of rubber compounds for insulation/jackets (EPDM, EPR, EVA, etc.) - Support for the development of machine learning models for predicting material properties based on additive structure and formulation ratios - Support for Bayesian optimization-based optimal formulation design simulations This is a recruitment-linked internship at the Specialty Research Group of LS Cable & System's Power Research Institute, where you will design polymer materials using AI. You can apply master's degree capabilities in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Energy Engineering.

Qualifications

- Education: Master's degree or higher | Major: Chemistry / Materials / Chemical, Polymer & Energy Engineering - Language Proficiency: Korean TOPIK Level 3 or higher / English TOEIC 700 or higher, or TOEIC Speaking or OPIc IM2 or higher - Basic theoretical knowledge in major fields such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, Plastics, or Advanced Materials - Experience using libraries such as RDKit or DeepChem (Required) - Experience in R&D or product development, or equivalent research capabilities - Logical analysis skills, proactive problem-solving spirit, responsibility, adherence to research ethics and laws, creative thinking, and a collaborative attitude

Preferred

- Basic knowledge of rubber/elastomer (EPDM, crosslinking technology, etc.) formulation and evaluation - Experience in regression modeling based on multi-component formulation data
