[Remote] US/Canada Native English Tutors | Basic Korean Welcome

Job Description

Start your teaching career with Korean learners! HOTPOT is recruiting native English speakers from the US and Canada for freelance, online/phone 1-on-1 English lessons with Korean professionals. We are building a pool of up to 20 tutors. Lessons focus on everyday conversation and workplace communication. Each student is expected to receive 30 or 50 minutes of lessons per week; your total teaching load and schedule will be discussed individually. Basic Korean is welcome. This opportunity may suit people who want to gain experience teaching Korean learners and begin a teaching career connected to Korea. Compensation is modest. Remote work; applicants may be based in Korea or overseas. Please share your time zone and availability in Korean Standard Time. Qualifications

• Native English speaker from the US or Canada • Basic Korean communication skills or higher (beginner Korean is welcome) • Able to teach online/phone lessons with a reliable internet connection and a quiet environment • Please provide your country of residence, time zone, Korean level, and weekly availability We are looking for a native English speaker from the US or Canada who can communicate in basic Korean and conduct online lessons in a stable environment.

Preferred

Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or working with Korean learners is a plus, but previous teaching experience is not required. We welcome applicants who are starting their teaching careers. Experience in education, tutoring, or guiding Korean learners is preferred. Applicants without prior teaching experience are also welcome to apply.
