Did anyone change their status D-4 to D-2?

Hello, I am currently studying at a Language School, I have TOPIK 4 and i'm currently at Level 5 and it is my last semester. I got accepted into a Master's Program in Korea so I will apply for a Change of Status. But I'm a bit worried about my grades, I was wondering if anyone knows that if i fail because of poor grades does it affects my application?

I currently work as an International Sales Manager at a logistics company, but I'm looking to return to my previous career in UK education, where I have around 16 years of experience. My background is in Business Development, Marketing, and Sales. I've worked with the British Council in Thailand, an English language school, and a UK university (based in Thailand). While my Korean is still a work in progress, I've completed KIIP Level 4 and plan to take the TOPIK exam soon. With some preparation, I'm aiming for Level 5.
