I got accepted to a Korean university, but it feels like everyone gets accepted.
I’m genuinely grateful, but part of me feels like everyone gets in. If this mindset is wrong or if it sounds hurtful to people who weren’t accepted.. I’m sorry. My application process wasn’t easy, so I keep wondering: was it mostly about document validity and formal requirements, or was I actually selected among many applicants because I deserved it?

I think there may be some administrative factors too, since schools also try to maintain a certain level of international student enrollment. But that doesn’t mean they accept everyone there are definitely people who get rejected. In the end, whether you go is your choice, and how you use that opportunity is also your choice. So rather than staying stuck on “Why was I accepted?”, it’s probably more productive to focus on how to make the most of the opportunity.
