What’s your favorite Korean public holiday experience as a foreigner?
I’m curious. Which public holiday did you enjoy the most in Korea? Any memorable experience? Back home, holidays mean family time, but here I wasn’t sure how foreigners usually spend them.

For me Chuseok was best. First year, my coworker invited me to his house and I helped making songpyeon. Felt very warm. If no invitation, city is quiet, nice for travel. Personally, I like Chuseok and Seollal because it’s long. Good chance to rest haha.

The best part about Korean public holidays is the ones that have bridge holidays that allow for long weekends. This is probably the only time i can travel and use holidays efficiently so i usually do a weekend trip somewhere in Korea.
