i graduated last august and apply to my second job in december after finishing my 3 months intern in another place. the second place have seperate marketing team (which is newly made). does the regulation of minimum 5 korean to sponsor 1 foreigner still apply? the company agrees to give visa e7 sponsorship. (currently there is only 3 members - 2 koreans). can i still do my internship here using d-10 visa? if yes, can i still change to e7 after my internship period end?

From what I’ve seen, it really depends on the job category you’re applying under. If you apply under a marketing track like “광고 및 홍보 전문가”, the strict “5 Korean employees per 1 foreign hire” rule doesn’t always apply the same way. But in those cases, Immigration can ask for more proof that the company is financially stable and actually able to hire you (revenue, tax filings etc.).
