Job Description
* To Keep the World in Motion * Techtaka was founded in May 2020 by CEO Sooyoung Yang, who has extensive development experience at Amazon and Coupang. The company operates ARGO, an integrated logistics automation platform (fulfillment) that encompasses everything from demand forecasting to ordering, inventory, and delivery. In January 2021, the company officially launched its flagship service, ARGO, and simultaneously operated its own logistics center. Starting in 2022, the company will operate an integrated e-commerce platform. Techtaka is comprised of project leads and developers with extensive experience in logistics from companies like Google, Amazon, UPS, and Coupang. Leveraging its accumulated logistics experience and operational expertise, Techtaka secured KRW 12.5 billion in Series A funding from Naver D2SF, Kakao Ventures-Shinhan Capital, Lotte Ventures, Murex Partners, Mirae Asset Capital, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, and DSC Investment within 15 months of its establishment. It also secured KRW 12.6 billion in Series B funding from Altos Ventures (February 2024). Notably, in August 2024, the company was selected as one of Forbes Asia's "100 Most Promising Companies," validating its vision for future global growth. [Team Introduction] The Global Business Team, responsible for implementing Techtaka's core growth strategy, proactively identifies and resolves issues from start to finish throughout the business expansion process. The team's current primary mission is to expand its business into global markets, including Japan, the US, South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. To achieve this, the team performs the following tasks: 1. Develop strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs through global service expansion. 2. Establish an operating model that benefits Techtaka through collaboration with overseas partners. 3. Drive continuous process improvement and execution based on market and customer feedback. Currently, the team focuses on two key tasks in the Japanese market: 1. Securing a Japanese partner to establish and stabilize a fulfillment center. 2. Reducing costs and securing price competitiveness by improving the Korea-Japan logistics process. We are seeking an individual who can become a driving force for Techtaka, a rapidly growing company. [Main Responsibilities] 1. Develop a global expansion strategy and roadmap. - Plan a strategic expansion roadmap based on market, competitor, and similar model research in key countries. - Set KPI-driven priorities and develop an implementation plan. - Share insights with management and the entire organization. 2. Market/competitive analysis and benchmarking. - Competitors' global strategies. Analysis (functionality, usability, pricing, service scope, etc.) - Benchmarking and direction suggestions based on market demands and customer needs 3. Global Partner Identification and Negotiation - Sourcing and direct negotiation with strategic partners through market research and networking - Clearly communicating Techtaka's vision and requirements and designing a win-win collaboration model - Multifaceted proposals and coordination on pricing terms and service structures 4. Data Analysis and Business Feasibility Verification - Simulations and profit structure analysis based on partnership conditions - Quantifying the positive impact on both sellers and Techtaka to support management decisions 5. Monitoring Japanese Fulfillment Center Operations - Continuously monitor and propose improvements to ensure Japanese partners operate in accordance with Techtaka's fulfillment model - Leading the effort to respond quickly to issues and stabilize operations 6. Leading Internal Collaboration and Execution - Coordinating and leading execution across development, operations, and sales departments related to global expansion - Maximizing business impact through close collaboration with other departments
Qualifications
1. Ability to negotiate and communicate at a business level in Japanese. 2. At least three years of experience in business development or service planning. 3. Experience utilizing various analysis tools and simulations. 4. Strategic thinking and clear documentation skills (e.g., requirement specifications, PRD writing). 5. Ability to collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
