Translation Assistant

Job Description

- Review in-service language expressions (e.g., text and marketing messages) to support Japanese, and suggest more natural localization. - Collaborate with the AI ​​team to create a Japanese translation model, assisting in correcting awkward translations. - Propose tone and manner guides appropriate for various content. - Research online communities utilized by local users and understand the characteristics of communication channels. - Assist with in-person user testing (UT) with local users, identifying issues arising from linguistic and cultural contexts, and suggesting improvement directions.

Qualifications

We're looking for a bilingual candidate who speaks Japanese at a native level and can communicate in Korean. A strong understanding of the local Japanese community is a plus. Experience with stock investment or a community related to stock investment is a plus. Beyond simple translation tasks, we'd be ideal if you possess the attitude and potential to define problems from the local user's perspective and find solutions in various ways. In addition to language review and user research, we'd also be interested in collaboratively developing marketing messages and concept ideas that can more effectively reach users in the target language. Fluent communication skills are required to coordinate work processes with multiple stakeholders. A keen interest in Toss' business and the ability to actively provide feedback are also a plus.

This is a short-term, three-month contract position. The position is located at the Hankook Tire Building near Yeoksam Station. Telecommuting is not permitted. Working hours are Monday through Friday (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) (including a one-hour break). The monthly salary is 2.4 million won (before tax), including weekly holiday pay and meal allowance.
