Visa Candidate
- Persons engaged in research and development of natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and performing arts or advanced technologies for industry at research institutes under the Act on the Development of Specific Research Institutions, the Act on the Establishment, Operation, and Development of Government-funded Research Institutions, and the Act on the Establishment, Operation, and Development of Government-funded Research Institutions in the Field of Science and Technology.
- Scientists and engineers engaged in research activities at research institutions under the provisions of the Defense Acquisition Program Act.
- Scientists and engineers who have signed a contract with the following institutions or organizations to develop advanced industrial technology in the field of natural sciences or industry in accordance with relevant laws such as the Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Act.
- A person who intends to engage in research in the field of natural sciences or research and development of advanced industrial technology at a research institute in the field of science and technology, such as a government-funded research institute, national/public research institute, or company-affiliated research institute, and has been recommended for employment by the Minister of Science and ICT.
- Those who wish to conduct research in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and performing arts at educational institutions such as colleges and universities or other academic research institutions.
- Qualifications
- Doctoral degree holder (to be obtained)
- Master's degree holder with at least 3 years of experience (however, the experience requirement for domestic master's degree holders is exempted)
Visa Requirements
- Application for authorization to issue a visa, passport, and one standard-sized photograph.
- Documents related to the establishment of the employing organization (business license or full certificate of incorporation or proof of research institution, etc.)
- Master's degree or higher degree certificate, work experience certificate (if applicable)
- Employment contract or confirmation of appointment
- Graduation certificate, confirmation letter, etc. issued in the name of the university representative, and a certificate confirming the date of the degree award (Applicant)
