Visa Description
- A person who intends to engage in activities specifically designated by the Minister of Justice under a contract with a public or private organization in the Republic of Korea.
- 'Specified activities' means activities in areas designated by the Minister of Justice as particularly necessary to introduce foreign labor with specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities to strengthen national competitiveness, etc.
- E-7-1: Professionals | Managers and Specialists (67 occupations)
- E-7-2: Semi-professional workers | Office and service workers (10 occupations)
- E-7-3: General Skilled Laborers | Craft and Related Skilled Workers (10 occupations)
- E-7-4: Skilled tradespersons (point system) | 3 occupations
- Maximum period of stay that can be granted once: 3 years
Visa Candidate
- (General Requirements) Must meet one of the following requirements.
- Master's degree or higher in a field related to the position to be filled.
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in a field related to the introduced occupation plus at least one year of experience in the field (only experience after obtaining a degree certificate is recognized, but for those working in high-tech (IT), bio, nano, and other fields, internship experience in the field before graduation is recognized as work experience)
- High-tech fields notified by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy pursuant to Article 5 of the Industrial Development Act
- At least 5 years of work experience in a field related to the introduced occupation
- (Special requirements for preferential treatment) If you are engaged in an occupation that has set special requirements in order to attract outstanding talents and utilize fostered talents, and if you are engaged in an occupation that has set separate educational or work experience requirements in consideration of the characteristics of the occupation, you must meet those requirements.
- Worked in a specialized job at a global 500 company for at least one year
- Bachelor's degree from a world-class university (planned)
- If you do not meet the requirements for at least one year of experience in your major field, you may be accepted if the need for employment is recognized.
- Time Magazine 200 universities and QS World University Ranking 500 universities.
- Graduates of domestic colleges and universities (planned)
- If you are employed in a permitted occupation related to your major subject, the one-year work experience requirement can be waived and the need for employment can be recognized.
- Graduated from a domestic university with a bachelor's degree or higher
- Graduates with a bachelor's degree or higher are exempt from the national employment ratio if they are employed in a permitted occupation, regardless of their major subject, and if the need for employment is recognized.
- Highly qualified professionals
- If the total remuneration received per year is more than 3 times the GNI per capita of the previous year, both education and experience, regardless of the profession, can be exempted (no employment recommendation from the minister is required)
- Graduates of excellent private institution training
- Foreigners with an overseas bachelor's degree or higher who have successfully completed a domestic training course (D-4-6, 20 months or more) in their field of specialization, obtained a domestic certificate, and completed at least four levels of a social integration program are allowed to change their qualifications to their field of specialization (except for E-7-4).
