There is a visa that allows the hiring of foreigners in the field of agriculture or fisheries for up to 8 months.
That visa is the E-8 Seasonal Labor Visa! ๐ŸŒพ
Today, let's introduce the E-8 Seasonal Labor Visa.
E-8 Seasonal Labor Visa Qualifications
  • 1) E-8-1: Selected through an MOU between domestic and foreign local governments (Agriculture)
  • 2) E-8-2: Recommended by a relative within four degrees of kinship living abroad, who obtained an F-6 visa by marrying a Korean citizen (Agriculture)
  • 3) E-8-3: Selected through an MOU between domestic and foreign local governments (Fisheries)
  • 4) E-8-4: Recommended by a relative within four degrees of kinship living abroad, who obtained an F-6 visa by marrying a Korean citizen (Fisheries)
E-8-1 / E-8-3 Visa Issuance Process
  • 1) Sign an MOU on seasonal labor supply between a Korean local government and a foreign local government.
  • 2) The foreign local government recommends its residents to the Korean local government.
  • 3) The Korean local government allocates seasonal laborers to farms after the invitation process (submission of visa issuance approval application).
  • 4) Seasonal laborers work in the agricultural or fisheries sector for 5-8 months after entering the country!
Company Qualifications
  • 1) The wage must comply with the minimum wage under Korean labor laws. ๐Ÿ’ธ
  • 2) Must provide accommodation and shower facilities, subject to inspection by the local government.
  • 3) Mandatory enrollment in industrial accident insurance.
  • 4) Ensure at least 2 days off per month.

  • 4) Proof of industrial accident insurance enrollment (Certificate of Enrollment in Industrial Accident Insurance)

  • 6) Employer Confirmation Letter
  • 7) Certificate of Providing Accommodation and Residence (Proof of Residence for Visa)
  • 8) MOU Conclusion Results, etc.
