Local Customized Visa, Lowering the Barriers to Visa Approval!

🌟 Local Customized Visa: Lowering the Barriers to Visa Approval!

    Hello!
This is Kowork, connecting employers with global talent.
Today, we’re excited to share some great news about the Local Customized Visa, which offers new opportunities for international students and workers in Korea.

🌟 What is the Local Customized Visa?

    business-meeting-about-employment.jpg

The Local Customized Visa is a new system that allows each metropolitan government to design visa conditions tailored to the needs of their region.

In simple terms, local governments can recommend talent they need, and the Ministry of Justice evaluates and issues the visas.

This pilot project focuses on two visa types:

    • D-2 Visa: For international students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher, with employment opportunities linked after graduation.
    • E-7 Visa: For professionals and skilled workers already working in designated fields.

🚀 What are the advantages of the Local Customized Visa?

The biggest advantage is flexibility in visa requirements.

Local governments can modify the visa conditions based on their regional needs, making it easier to obtain a visa.
For example, in regions facing workforce shortages, the requirements may be relaxed, providing greater opportunities for applicants.

The pilot project will start with a selection process for participating regions in March next year and will operate for two years in the selected areas.

    🌍 How are regions selected?

The regions participating in the Local Customized Visa program will be selected through a thorough evaluation process.

    • Evaluation Criteria: Quota fulfillment rate, illegal stay rate, proportion of foreign residents, etc.
    • Benefits: Simplified visa procedures for regions that achieve high scores.

🛠️ Kowork is here to help!

At Kowork, we believe the Local Customized Visa will open up more opportunities for international students and workers.
We’re here to support you with visa consultations and help you find employment opportunities that match your needs.

Let Kowork bridge the gap between talented individuals and regional opportunities in Korea!

📌 What should you do next?

    1. Research the Local Customized Visa requirements for the regions you’re interested in.
    2. Apply to the region that fits your goals and qualifications.

If you have questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to Kowork anytime.
We’re here to help you settle in Korea and achieve your dreams! 🙌
